and AGConsult extend collaboration

AGConsult and Kluwer Opleidingen have agreed to extend their
collaboration agreement about the organisation of seminars and trainings
about online usability. From now on, Kluwer Opleidingen will include
three usability workshops from AGConsult in their seminar
calendar.
The new seminar "Designing
predictable and transparent information structures" focuses on
one of the main reasons why users have so much trouble finding things on
web sites: a less than transparent information structure. Research shows
that on two thirds of Belgian web sites, users don't know where they can
find which information. This seminar teaches participants how to
structure information in the way that users expect.
The successful two-day workshop "Making user-friendly web
sites" is complemented by the follow-up cour "Optimising
the cost-effectiveness of e-commerce sites". This seminar makes
it clear which things can stand in the way of a user completing a
transaction and how to avoid them. "The fact that around 40% of
users who want to buy something online abandon their shopping cart
before completing the transaction proves the need for a seminar like
this", says Karl Gilis from AGConsult.
According to AGConsult, the increasing interest in usability seminars
shows that a growing number of corporations is becoming aware that the
success of a web site largely depends on the content and usability of
it.
