AGConsult assists Department of Health with preparations new site (14 March 2005)
In June 2005 the new site of the Department of Health, Food Safety and Environment will be online. To make sure the site's content matches the new and improved structure and graphics, 130 people from the department took an AGConsult course on 'Writing for the Web'.

People read very differently online than they do offline. A government agency that wants to inform people efficiently online should be aware of that. The people at the Department of Health are. That's why they sent 75 Dutch speakers and 55 French speakers who will have to write texts for the new web site to an AGConsult course on 'Writing for the Web'.

The tailor-made course focused on the basic principles of writing for the web. The many examples and practical writing exercises meant the participants could go out and put the theory into practice almost straight away.
